Dear Ms. Singleton,
I have a favor to ask of you. My cousins are gathering to have a memorial in honor of my aunt who passed away a year ago. My contribution to the memorial is a video I made of their parents' wedding album. We grew up singing folk songs and it is only fitting that one of our family favorites be the song on the video. I cannot think of a sweeter song than your version of "Down in the Valley". I am asking your permission to use the song on the video. I would like to post the song on Youtube so that other family members can view it. Please let me know if this meets with your approval.
